Culinary delights from the Alps. From Malbun. From Liechtenstein.
That’s the credo of our Executive Chef, Michael Spirk. During the Alpine summer, we obtain milk, cheese and yogurt from nearby Alp Pradamee. We purchase fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs and tender meat from selected agricultural and organic farms in Liechtenstein; a local hunter, Pascal, personally provides us with venison. All our fish is sourced from rivers and lakes within the region. And for seafood treats, Michael Spirk can rely on tips from his network of anglers and fishermen.
Internationally inspired delicacies
Michael Spirk knows what lovers of fine food want. After completing his apprenticeship as a chef, he gained experience at various prestigious hotels and restaurants – under top chefs such as Heinz Winkler and Christian Petz, among others. His career so far has taken Michael, who was born in the Austrian province of Styria, around half the world from the Bermudas, to Vienna and California, as well as to sea as a cruise ship chef. Before arriving in Malbun, Michael Spirk was Head Chef at the Gasthof Post at Lech am Arlberg, Austria.
Michael Spirk has been cooking for guests at our family hotel since 2017. Together with his team, he prepares traditional fine dining options in a distinctive and yet unmistakable manner. A further mouth-watering temptation are the sweet surprises created by our Patissière, Christine Schimpf. We know you will be delighted.
